About Me

TJ Sondag is an Illinois Director/Writer who’s main focus is to try and make more comedic films whether it is short or feature films that help audiences escape the terrors of the life and opens up a world where people can turn off their minds and have a good laugh.

Sondag went to Ohio University, where he studied film production. Learning and creating many films that deal with themes of friendship, resilience, and the occasional fart joke. Sondag pursued filmmaking to live up to some of the great comedic directors like John Hughes, Judd Apatow, Adam McKay, Harold Ramis, and Ivan Reitman.

Besides writing and directing, Sondag has also showed a passion on the production side of filmmaking. Sondag has been placed in many roles in his college career including setting up lights for short films, capturing crisp sound for thesis films, or as a PA trying to make everyone happy on set.

Along with filmmaking, recently Sondag has had an internship at Highland Film Group working in the development department. Working on trying to make movies better and helping scripts become stronger so those filmmakers can become stronger.
